<br />with prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

<br /> Vice Mayor Beamer presided in the absence of the Mayor and welcomed all visitors in
<br />attendance.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Webb, minutes of the called meeting of May
<br />1984; minutes of the regular meeting of May 22, 1984, to be approved as received, and was
<br />adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> Joseph Knight,~4820 Portsmouth Boulevard, commented on the location of the building;
<br />also asked that the lights on the corner of Tinee Giant store be looked into as they were
<br />blinding to, anyone coming down Shea Street.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. ~ebb, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />Planning Commission, UP 84-5 for installation of parts purchased in Twin B. Auto Sales store
<br />at the northeast corner of Portsmouth Boulevard and Shea Street, was approved on first reading
<br />and by unanimous vote.

<br />Planning Commission, UP 84-6 for a group home for mentally handicapped children at 3615 County
<br />Street, was approved on first reading, and by unanimous vote.
