<br />the City Manager recommending adoption of a resolution approving
<br />Development Revenue Bonds for Beverley Enterprises Virginia, Inc.
<br />$2,200,000 for the refunding of existing bonds ~ssued in 1981.
<br />
<br /> "Tkelndustrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth held a public hearing on
<br />June 19, 1984, and approved the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds for Beverley
<br />Enterprises Virginia, Inc. in an amount estimated at $2,200,000 for the refunding of existi'
<br />bonds issued in 1981. The original bond issue was used ~o finance the construction and
<br />equipping of an exzsting nursing home facility located at 900 London Boulevard. In accordanc~
<br />with the applicable federal an~ state law, the IDA has requested City Council to approve the
<br />issuance of such bonds.
<br />
<br /> The intent of the bonds is ro refund the outstanding balance on Beveriey~ ey:isting bonds
<br />thus resulting in a more favorable financing situation.
<br />
<br /> The attached resolution has been prepared by the City Attorney an~ I recommend its
<br />approval."

<br /> INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, FOR BEVERLEY
<br /> ENTERPRISES-VIRGINIA, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,200,000. FOR REFUNDING OF AN
<br /> EXISTING BOND IbSUE WHICH ~AS USED TO FINANCE THE COST OF ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION,
<br /> AND EQUIPPING OF A NURSING HOME FACILITY ON LONDON BOULEVARD IN fHE CITY OF PORTS-
<br /> MOUTH, VIRGINIA.
