Markham to <br /> rezone property at 5714 Portsmmnth Boulevard; from <br /> Residential R-75-S to Office Residential 0R-75. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and~:seconded by Mr. Whitlow, to grant Gordon B. Tayloe, Attorney, <br />an additional 5 minutes, as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Gordon B. Tayloe, Attorney, Central Fidelity Bank Building, representing Gary W. & Helen <br />S. Markham, spoke in2support of the application and presented the followina petition: <br /> <br /> "We, the undersigned, are residents of the Cedar Point Subdivision of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, and request that the Portsmouth City Council approve the rezoning application <br />Z 84-10 of ~ary W. and Helen S. Markham to rezone property at 5714 Portsmouth Boulevard <br />and described as Tax Map 627, Parcel 17, from Residential R-75-S to Office Residential 0R-75. <br /> <br /> We, the undersigned, believe that rezoning of said vroperty will benefit the city in <br />increasing the tax revenue and creating a zoning compatible with the surrounding area. <br /> <br /> We recognize that this parcel is isolated within an existing commercial strip already <br />in existance. Therefore, an 0R-75 zoning will create a buffer tweteen a heavy commercial <br />and residential area. Signed by J. A. Hutchins, 404 Charlotte Drive and others" <br /> <br /> David A.
