O'Kane, Jr., Director of Planning, Engineering, <br />and Inspections, to rezone subdistricts contained within the <br />Downtown D-1 zoning district. Portion C oroposes rezoning <br />of properties along London Boulevard and High Street at the <br />Elm Avenue Intersection;from Auto Retail/Specialty and Mixed <br />Use subdistricts to Industrial subdistrict; also, described <br />as Tax Map 38, Parcels 136, -0, 74, 76, 78-83, 88-90, 94, <br />104, 10S, 107, 108-117, 119, 130-133; Plate 40, Parcel 9; <br />Plate 32, Parcels 1, 92, 94, 96, 97-106, 108-116, 152, i53, <br />158, 1~9, 161, 165-170, 141 and Plate 48, Parcels 170, 171; <br />from Automobile Retail and Mixed Use to Industrial. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission, to rezone subdistricts contained within the Downtown D-1 zoning district <br />Portion C proposes rezoning of properties along London Boulevard and Hieh Street at the Elm <br />Avenue Intersection from Anto Retail/ Specialty and Mixed Use subdistricts to Industrial <br />subdistrict; also parcels stated in Zoning Amendment Ordinance Z 84-8-Portion C, from Auto- <br />mobile Retail and Mixed Use to Industrial, and the following ordinance was approved on first <br />reading by unanimous vote: ~ <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT )RDINANCE Z 84-8-P~rtion C" <br /> <br /> (b) CA 84-7 A proposal to amend Article V.I., Section 40-121(a)(ii) pertaining to amen¢ <br /> Portion merits in the Downtown D-1 District. <br /> B <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commisszon, CA 84-7-Portion B, was approved on first reading, and by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(c) Zoning <br /> <br />Petition Z 84-16 <br /> <br />Rezoning application of Mrs. Brantley Bolling, by Agent <br />Hugh W. Johnston, to rezone property on the east side of <br />Hodges Ferry Road lying between the Hodges Ferry East <br />Apartments and the City of Portsmouth Fire Station; from <br />Commercial C-1 to Residential R-60. <br /> <br /> Joseph E. Knight, ~820 Portsmouth Boulevard, inquired on the location of the subject <br />parcel. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to move Z~:84Flbft~ the last item on Public <br />Hearing~t~db~ain:~nforma~on~mie~z~n~s~question, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(d) Zoning Petition Z 84-17 <br /> <br />Rezoning application of Peachtree Association, by Benjamin <br />Levy, General Partner, to rezone property generally bounded~ <br />by the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad on the north, Twin. Pine~ <br />Road on the east, and Towne Point Road on the south~ from <br />Commercial C-1 to Residential R-75. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and <br />meeting in November (November <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />seconded by Mrs. Webb, that Z 84-17 be deferred until the first <br />13, 1984), as requested by the City Manager, and was adopted by <br /> <br />Ce) GHP 84-15 <br /> <br />Group housing project application of Peachtree Associates, by Benjamin <br />Levy, General Partner, for 92 condominium units on property generally <br />bounded by the S~aboard Coast Line Railroad on the north, Twin Pines Road <br />on the east, and Towne Point Road on the south. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded b~rsg'~s, that ]HP 84-15 be deferred until first <br />meeting in November (November 13, 1984), as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
