<br /> The attached resolution appoints viewers mn accordance
<br />the portion of such street and to report to the
<br />reeult in closing that portin of Bourbon Street.
<br />
<br />I, Therefore, concur and recommend the adoption of the attached resolution."

<br />= On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the following
<br />and by the following vote:

<br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF BOURBON STREET.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made application to
<br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of Bourbon Street, and it
<br />appearing that notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly
<br />advertised as required by law.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED k) the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />A. N. Kendrick, Charles R. Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. E. B. Stewart be
<br />appointed viewers and that C. L. Knight and Simon P. Arrington be appointed alternate
<br />viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to
<br />view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report so this Council in
<br />writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in
<br />vacating and closing the following:

<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, comprising that portion of Bourbon
<br />Street that is shown on that certain plat entitled "Plat Showing A Portion Of
<br />Bourbon Street To Be Closed For Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority",
<br />prepared by the Engineering and Technical Services Department of the City of Ports-
<br />mouth, Virginia, dated August 16, 1984, more particularly described as being that
<br />portion of Bourbon Street lying between the western boundary of Terry Street and
<br />the easte;n boundary of Dunkin Street."

<br /> 'The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1984 Personal Property taxes
<br />to John J. Keenan, 204 Tudor Road, Portsmouth, Virginia 23~01f
<br />
<br /> Mr. Keenan was over assessed on his 1983 Datsun pickup, therefore, a partial refund of
<br />$56.01 jwith interest) is requested.
<br />
<br />I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be granted."

<br />(without interest) to Naney Armstrong for~oYertassessment o.~¥ Personal Property Tax.

<br /> "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1984 Personal Property taxes
<br />to Nancy Armstrong, 3305 Clover Hill Drive, Portsmouth, Virginia 23703.
<br />
<br /> Mrs. Armstrong was charged for air conditioning on her 1984 Ford, Tempo, which she does
<br />not have. I am requesting a partial refund of $22.18 (without interest).
<br />
<br />recommend that Council adopt this motion, and refund be granted."
<br />
<br /> On mOtion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, that authorization be granted to refun~
