<br />unanimous vote.

<br />located on the east side of Green Street between London Boulevard and
<br />North Street.

<br />answered questions as presented.

<br />Councilman Beamer left the Chamber at 8:43~p.m. and returned at 8:48 p.m.

<br /> On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Beamer, to concur with the recommendation of
<br />the Planning Commission, with further conditions that ingress and egress on the north~ide, 6f
<br />the right-of-way be maintained, and ~HP 84-20 for eight condominium units on land located on
<br />the east side of Green Street between London Boulevard and North Street, wes approved on firs'
<br />reading, and adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />50 12-unit condominiums (600 units~ . The apartments are formerly known
<br />as Twin Lakes.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to concur in the recommendation ofu
<br />the Planning Commission, GHP 84-22 for redevelopment of the River Edge Apartments into 50 12-~
<br />condominiums (600) unitsl , was approved on first reading, and adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> for 24 townhouse condominiums on land located at the northwest corner
<br /> of Green Street and Firehouse Lane and owned by the Portsmouth Redevelo-
<br /> ment and Housing Authority.

<br /> J. Michael Sasser, 3200 Tyre Neck Road, representing the developer of the proposed
<br />project, was available to answer questions.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to concur in the recommendation of
<br />the Planning Commission, GHP 84-23 for 24 townhouse condominiums on land located at the north
<br />west corner of Green Street and Firehouse Lane and owned by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and
<br />Housing Authority, was approved on first reading, and adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br />(h) CA 84-6 A proposal ro amend Sections 40-70(b), 71(b), 72(b), 73(a), 74(a),
<br /> 75(a), 76(a), 77(a) and Section 40-44 of the City Code pertaining to
<br /> churches and houses of worship.
<br />
<br /> The following ministers spoke in opposition of the amendments and requested that the
<br />matter be reconsidered:

<br /> Rev. Leroy Daniels, Jr., 2802 Portsmouth Boulevard, presented the following petition:

<br /> Commission concerning zoning restrictions for Churches. We, furthermore, strongly
<br /> urge that the City of Portsmouth refrain from enacting any ordinance that has the
