Vernon Avenue, Portsmouth, as recommended, and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />$5 <br /> <br /> 84-46- Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of an ordinance to award a <br />telephone system franchise for the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> "On November 13, 1984, the Council adopted a resolution inviting bids for a franchise <br />to use the streets and other public places of the City for poles¢ wires, conduits, cables <br />and fixtures necessary for the operatmon of a telephone system.
