<br />this resFect, I hate had conversations with Mr. Roger Pierce, Vice President and General
<br />Manager of Cox Cable of Portsmouth. Mr. Pierce shares my concerns of equitable treatment
<br />to our citizens and recommends that the rate increase imposed by City Council on January
<br />1985, be rescinded and full credit be given the citizens for the increase.

<br /> I, therefore, recommend to City Council that the rate ~ncrease be rescinded effective
<br />February 1, 1985."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Whitlow, to confirm that the conditions attached
<br />to the rate increase for Cox Cable approved~by this Council on January 22, 1985 were not met
<br />and, thusly, the increase approved at'that time did not become effective on February 1, 1985,
<br />and, further, to direct Cox Cable to adjust the accounts of the citizens of this City accord-
<br />ingly, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
