PPIC also passed a resolution recommending that the City <br />Council allocat $3,500,000 of its $7,935,525 portion of the State.ceiling on Industrial <br />Revenue Bonds to PPIC for the benefit of Moon Engineering Company, Inc. A public hearing was <br />held on June 20, 1985. <br /> <br /> These bonds would be used by Moon Engineering for further expansion of a major shop <br />repair facility presently under construction at Pinners Point. Projected improvements in0 <br />clude acquxsxt~on of additional land from PPIC and construction of berthing and dining <br />facilities for shipboard perscnnel. <br /> <br /> As indicated on the enclosed Development Summary, this project, which includes $3,000,000 <br />· n previously issued Industrial Revenue Bonds (for a total of $6,000,000) is expected to gene- <br />rate ~n excess of £113,000 in local, annual taxes and to create 200-300 new jobs in the City <br />of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> <br />
