112 <br /> <br />September 10, 1985 <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Corpre~, that Mr. Monroe be granted an:additisn~ <br />al 5 minutes, as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Mr. Monroe spoke concerning the Boyce Property (near Frederick Boulevard) as a dangerous <br />piece of property and should be condemned and disposed of to prevent any accidents happening. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that the matter be referred to manage~ <br />ment and a repart be furnish to Mr. Monroe and Council, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 85-271 - The following citizens spoke concerning the City's Retirement System on invest- <br />ments in South Africa: <br /> <br /> Janice Kohl, 725 Maury Avenue, Norfolk, representing Tidewater Chapter National Organiza- <br />tion for Women. <br /> <br /> Dr. John Dommisse, 1801 Airline Boulevard, representing Coalition against Racism & Apart- <br />heid. <br /> <br /> Mary Drummond, 418 W. 38th Street, Norfolk, representing Coalition against Racism & Apart <br />heid. <br /> <br /> Shirley Richardson, Norway Place, Norfolk, representing Coalition Against Racism & Apart- <br />heid. <br /> <br />Minister Rafiq Zaidi, 547 Edwards Street, representing Black Concerned Citizens/CARA. <br /> <br />Steve Booth, 4-H Huron Drive, representing Coalition against Racism & Apartheid. <br /> <br />an <br /> <br /> John Wallace, 957 Suburban Parkway. <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Beamer, <br />additional 2 minutes to complete his presentation, <br /> <br />to suspend the rules to allow Mr. Wallac <br />and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney was directed to prepare a resolution to be brought back at a later <br />meeting. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 11:28 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />City C 1 e r k F_~/6~/ - <br /> <br /> <br />
