APril 25, 2000 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Counc Ion Tuesday, April 25, 2000, there were <br />present: <br /> <br />Mayor James W. Holley III;; Vice Mayor Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, P. <br />Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas Benn III; William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, <br />Sr., City Manager Ronald W: Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />00 - 88 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, <br />April 25, 2000, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />00 - 89 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Fire Department Annual Report <br /> <br />2. Budget Follow Up <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Closed <br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or <br />consider the following: <br /> <br /> the acquisition or sale of real property for a public purpose, as authorized by <br />subparagraph A.3. The subject property is located in the southwestern area of the City. <br /> <br /> the performance of specific public officers appointees or employees of the <br />City, as permitted by subsection A.1. <br /> <br /> The :motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section 2.1- <br />344.1 of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br />1.
