206 <br /> <br />November 26, 1985 <br /> <br /> 85-383 - Billy Spruill, 5201 High Street West, presented notes for the Council record; <br />"Controversy can be self defeating - May I request most humbly that our Police Chief be judged <br />his performance and merit - not on his recent Visitors. <br /> <br /> We are all gifted with hindsight and I believe if the Police Chief had it to do over again <br />he would be more discreet about the strong feelings of our citizens re-apartheid ix South Africa <br />and visitors there from. <br /> <br />I do not believe our Chief of Police supports apartheid - and we all make mistakes. <br /> <br />Jesus said "He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone." <br /> <br />Thank you, Billy Spruill 5201 High St. West 23703-4115." <br /> <br />Mayor Holley stated the City Manager will review and report to Council, on the notes. <br /> <br /> 85-384 - Minister Stephen Green, 1607 City Park Avenue, spoke concerning employment and ~ <br />requested Council to look into positions he had been turned down on and he has applied for a pos~ <br />open at this time. <br /> <br /> 85-385 - On motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to go into executive session <br />to discuss the following, and was adopted by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />(1) Use, Sale, or Acquisition of <br /> Public Property <br />(2) Consultation and Briefing on <br /> Legal Matters ineluding <br /> Contracts and Litigation <br />(3).
