The Future Land Use Map of the Build One Portsmouth <br />Comprehensive Plan designates this property as a mixed-use <br />corridor. The property is owned by BHG Capital LLC. Planning <br />Commission recommends denial. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Hugel, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to deny UP-24-09, and was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Hugel, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Tillage, Whitaker, Glover <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- City Manager’s Report - <br /> <br />24 - 268 - Adoption of an ordinance accepting funding in the amount of $5,000 from <br />the Virginia 9-1-1 Services Board and appropriating said amount in the FY 2025 <br />Grants Fund for use by the Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services to <br />provide training for Public Safety Answering Points personnel. <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> Through the Virginia Department of Emergency Management\\VDEM, the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia 9-1-1 Services Board makes available reimbursement funding <br />to send Public Safety Answering Points personnel and\\or GIS personnel to one of more <br />of the annual state professional organization conferences during the award period of July <br />1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br /> These educational conferences provide training specific to 9-1-1 Dispatch <br />personnel regarding 9-1-1 public safety communications standards, issues, procedures, <br />practices, and technologies. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br /> This program does not require a local match or in-kind services. <br /> <br />Recommended Action: <br /> <br /> Adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
