<br /> According to Mr. Burgess, the furniture being replaced is over twenty years old and has
<br />outlived any reasonable usefulness. I should note that the Library Board has been extremely
<br />supportive o£ this request and has been active in its fund raising activities over the past
<br />several years (averages $2,000 a year ~n donations~. For the most recent year, Friends of thc
<br />Library replaced all the curtains and in previous years provided funds to purchase and ~nstall
<br />the new security system. Furnitfire can be received and placed in use within 60 90 days
<br />after award of contract.

<br />appropriation in the amount of $15,000."
