petition:

'We, the undersigned residents and voters of the City of Portsmouth are against both
the rezoning of Map Parcel S95-6.9 and the Group Housing Project permit as requested bv the
Metro Development Corporation. The requested applications are not consistent with the nature
of the surrounding property. Introduction of high dengity spot zoning into a neighborhood
which ~s predominately single family homes will adversely impact the quality of life in the
neighborhood in terms of noise, traffic, and property value declines. The propety is too
~mall for 28 cond~ units as a whole, however with the Airline Blvd frontage remaining com-
mercially zoned which could be resold at a later date, the request is unrealistic.

There is no shortage of multifamily property (all of which are presently running
advertisements attempting to fill their existing units , nor is this the only available site
for such additional development in the area if the market can support the growth.

We, the undersigned request denial of Z 86-46 and GHP 85-35.
512 Delham Road and others."
