Box 50141, asked that City Council make <br /> improvements to water and sewer a priority. <br /> <br /> There was a majority consensus of City Council to move the following projects to the <br /> <br />2023 Capital Improvement Program Fund: <br /> <br /> Churchland High School field and light improvements. <br /> <br /> I. C. Norcom field improvements. <br /> <br /> Manor High School field improvements. <br /> <br />3. Steve Carroll, 3112 Riveredge Drive, asked that City Council make infrastructure <br /> maintenance a priority. <br /> <br />(c) Public hearing on proposed changes to Rates and Levies for the <br />Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2023. <br /> <br />1. Donna Sayegh, 3104 Garland Drive, spoke in opposition to the proposed changes in <br /> rates and levies. <br /> <br />2. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, P. O. Box 50141, voiced his concern that there was no <br /> formal presentation given on rates and levies. <br /> <br />3. Ray Smith, 1227 Darren Drive, asked that City Council be patient and allow major <br /> upcoming projects help to lower taxes for citizens. <br /> <br />4. Kintrell Devin, 2506 Oakleaf Place, thanked City Council members for thinking outside <br /> the box and looking for ways to possibly decrease taxes. <br /> <br />5. Cedric Cradle, 725 Bold Street, spoke in opposition to charging fees for children to <br /> attend recreational facilities. <br /> <br />6. Sergio Neal, 1420 Elm Avenue, spoke on the importance of recreational facilities for <br /> the youth and the importance of maintaining these facilities. <br /> <br />7. Steven Williams, 801 Nottingham Road, spoke on the importance of recreational <br /> facilities for youth. <br /> <br /> FY 2023 Proposed Fee Schedule Presentation - Trey Burke, Budget Manager <br /> <br /> <br />- New Business - <br /> <br />22 - 129 - Boards and Commissions <br /> <br /> <br /> There were no appointments. <br /> <br />22 - 130 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br /> <br /> Appointment of City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion by Dr. Whitaker, and seconded by Ms. Lucas-Burke, to appoint LaVonda <br />Graham-Williams as City Attorney with a starting salary of $200,000 plus benefits as <br />agreed to by City Council and a start date of June 13, 2022, and was adopted by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Battle, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Whitaker, Woodard, Glover <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Barnes spoke on the success of the 420ish Festival and gave kudos to <br /> <br />Germaine Green and LaKeesha Atkinson for organizing the event. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
