March 22, 2022 Next Steps Following Council Action:  The Finance Departments for the City and Schools will complete the necessary budget adjustments. Motion by Mr. Barnes, and seconded by Mr. Battle, to adopt the following ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: “ORDINANCE TO RE-APPROPRIATE UNEXPENDED FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,981,491 FROM THE FY 2021 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GRANTS FUND BUDGET TO THE FY 2022 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GRANTS FUND BUDGET.” Ayes: Barnes, Battle, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Whitaker, Woodard, Glover Nays: None 22 - 85 - Adoption of an ordinance accepting Developmental Disability Residential Support funds in the amount of $21,600 and appropriating said funds in the FY 2022 Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund to support individuals diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Background:  Developmental Disability Residential Support funds are allocated to assist with maintaining support and services for individuals diagnosed with an intellectual and/or developmental disability. Discussion:  The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services awarded $21,600 of one-time funding for residential supports. These funds will be utilized as a customized rate intended to provide support for individuals diagnosed with an intellectual and/or developmental disability. Financial Impact:  No local match is required as a condition of the funding except as may be provided in the Community Services Performance Contract with the Commonwealth approved by City Council resolution R-21-22 adopted on August 10, 2021. Any required local match has previously been appropriated as part of the FY 2022 Behavioral Healthcare Services Fund Budget. Recommended Action:  Adoption of the ordinance.
