C. Norcom High School Homecoming events. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Barnes asked for an update on the Forensic Turnover Audit requested on <br /> <br />March 9, 2021, and on Bon Secours summer jobs for students. <br /> <br /> <br /> City Manager Jones informed City Council she would get back with the update on <br />the forensic audit and that an update had been provided regarding the summer <br />jobs, but she would provide that information again. <br /> <br /> Ms. Lucas-Burke spoke on the following: <br /> <br /> <br /> African American Historical Society Mural at the Visitor’s Center. <br /> <br /> Booster shots being provided at the former Macy’s department store at Military <br />Circle Mall, Norfolk. <br /> <br /> Chief Prince forum being held 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the police <br />academy on Columbia Street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Woodard gave kudos to the department of Parks and Recreation for the successful <br /> <br />Trunk or Treat event. <br /> <br /> Dr. Whitaker requested the following: <br /> <br /> <br /> Update on a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide upkeep of the Lincoln, Fisher’s <br />Hill and Mount Calvary Cemeteries. <br /> <br /> Update on a location for the African American Historical Society and Museum. <br /> <br /> Update on providing Bon Secours summer jobs for youth. <br /> <br /> Mr. Moody asked that Interim City Attorney Stromberg come back with information on <br /> <br />the liability of ownership with regards to the Lincoln Cemetery. <br /> <br /> Mr. Moody asked that staff look at pruning trees in Afton Square. <br /> <br /> <br /> Mr. Battle informed citizens and City Council of the announcement of the turbine blade <br /> <br />facility being built at the Portsmouth Marine Terminal. <br /> <br /> Mr. Battle also informed City Council of the new refrigeration plant coming to the city. <br /> <br /> <br />21 - 327 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />There were no pending items. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
