is for the high in tax meals and other residential faith. I find that to be very heartless
and inhumane at this time. This is not determine the rates and the type of phase
where people not having jobs.
"Yes, my name is Ron Evans 46570822, in regards to the increases in the
proposed budget of not happy about any of them, the award, the water, I have no
problem with it now, present borders, a bargain at any price is probably not the
sewer either. Even though they're proposing as much as a 15% increase, it really
doesn't amount to that much. However, the storm water with a 7% increase is going
to Jack us up, too.$36 per quarter. I've got a real problem with that because it it's
been steady going up every year like clockwork, it was16, 15, 12 years ago. The
current rate, it is, now, it's, that's a,uh. The 104% increase, which averages to 8.66
yearly in percent increase, if it goes to propose radio, we have 100,an 18%
increase since 2008 to Jack us up to a little, over 9%percent increase. Now, this
is purity only had a cost of living increase of 1.6%so, it's it's rather an MA. Where
does it stop?"
(Call #2) "Ron Evans 4, 6, 7, 8 2 2 regarding the, and propose increases in the
budget. Getting back to the meal taks.1% increase doesn't sound like much. but
when you figure it out, it's in actuality a 15% increase. And which I think is going
on adversely affect the servers. And I don't, I don't think it's a good, good idea. And
last but not least, I don't think this is the proper time to be given. Any now,
employee raise, especially at 3%, raise that, in my opinion, no, should be grateful
to have a job at all. When so many people they've lost, there's possibly
permanently. And I just don't see it also getting back to the stormwater issue. I've
been trying to get a storm order, they storm drain cleared out for nearly two years
now, to no avail. So I don't, I'd like to know where all this stormwater money is
coming from. And the yearly increases were paying what it's being useful. And
that's about all I have to say. I wondered, and agree with, of the people that I think
the media should. I think it should be delayed as far as actually adopting the
budget. And thank you for your time."
"Yes, my name is Duff Porter ... Reside at 226 Constitution Avenue in the city, and
I'm calling to voice my objection to the entire budget proposal. I cannot imagine.
I'm actually appalled that you would suggest any kind of budget increase during
these difficult times, the real estate taxes already higher than any other city or
municipality and a dollar 3100. It ought to be by federal law, zero point seventy
five, and never should exceed that and you folks should learn to live within your
means. The very idea of going up was stormwater and sewage charges and so
forth. I don't get anything for that anyway. So, I'm very much opposed to that. You
have people living in Portsmouth a day, worked a lifetime to buy a home, and can
afford to live in it, because of the tax. The reality is, there's no limit to how high you
want to raise taxes if you had all the money on the planet. It wouldn't be enough.
You'd find some way to hire more people and provide quote, unquote services,
which are in fact intrusions. So you should back off find some budget cuts and
learn to live within your main means. Phone numbers 399-1658 Thanks. Not that
this will do any good. But I'm registering: Vocal displeasure. We just You can't do
it. It's just, it's wrong. Thank you, Bye."
