October 22, 2019 <br /> <br />Next Steps Following Council Action: <br /> <br /> The Engineering Department will implement the permitting requirements contained <br />in the amended Code. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Clark, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />“ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) BY AMENDING ARTICLE IV (STREET <br />POLES), ARTICLE V (UNDERGROUND WIRES) AND ARTICLE XI (WIRELESS <br />FACILITIES) THEREOF FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMPLYING WITH FEDERAL AND <br />STATE LAWS AND REGULATIONS REGARDING WIRELESS FACILITIES AND <br />INFRASTRUCTURE.” <br /> <br />Ayes: Battle, Clark, Glover, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Psimas, Rowe <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />19 - 378 - Adoption of an ordinance accepting $44,725 of HOME Investment <br />Partnerships program income and appropriating said amount in the FY 2020 <br />Community Planning and Development Program Fund. <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> The City has received $44,725 of HOME program income generated by the <br />repayment of a Home Care housing rehabilitation loan. <br /> <br /> In accordance with federal regulations, the program income must be appropriated <br />to the FY 2020 Community Planning and Development Program Fund for use in <br />connection with the HOME program. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br /> The program income will be included in the FY 20 Annual Action Plan after it is <br />appropriated by City Council. <br /> <br />Financial impact: <br /> <br /> The funds will support activities in the existing Annual Action Plan and there will <br />be no impact to service delivery.
