Financial Impact:  A funding formula would provide a data driven calculation utilizing relevant criteria and revenue projections annually to project the local School funding contribution by City Council in the annual budget. Recommended Action:  Adoption of the Resolution. Next Steps Following Council Action:  City Council will appoint a City Council Member and an Independent Education Representative to serve on the Committee.  A letter will be sent to the Portsmouth School Board requesting names for the representatives to serve as the School Board Liaison and an Independent Education Representative. Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Clark, to adopt the following resolution. Motion by Mr. Glover, and seconded by Mr. Clark, to amend the motion to include the following language, and was adopted by the following vote: “One community member chosen by the School Board and one community member chosen by the City Council” Ayes: Battle, Clark, Glover, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Psimas, Rowe Nays: None Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Clark, to adopt the following resolution with the above amendment, and was adopted by the following vote:
