3,80 July 22, 1986 At a called meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, July 22, 1986, there were present: Gloria O. Webb, Jack P. Barnes, J. Robert Gray, L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, George L. Hanbury, City Manager, James T. Martin, Assistant City Attorney. * Absent: E. G. Corprew, Jr., James W. Holley, III Vice Mayor Webb presided in. the absence of the Mayor. 86,255 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford. Street, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 1986, for the purpose of a public work session and for the consideration of a motion to go into an executive session to discuss the following: (1) Use, Sale, or Acquisition of Public Property (2) Consultation and Briefing on Legal Matters (3) A Personnel Matter (4) Boards & Commissions By order of the Mayor." Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, to go into an executive session, and was adopted by the follow%ng.vote: Ayes: Barnes, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb Nays: None 86-256 - A public work session was held for an appeal from Paradigm Corporation on office building located on the corner of Court Street and London Boulevardi~to retain the screens and p~orch light.' Mrs. Judy Lewis, representing Paradigm Corporation, made a presentation. Ernest Freeman, City Planner, made a presentation. Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to uphold the decision of the Commissioz of Architectural Review, that the screens and light fixtures to be removed within 30 days, and was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion m~~adjourned- Mayor Councilman Corprew arrived for the publiC:work session and executive session at 4:45 p.m. Mayor Holley arrived for the public work session and executive session at 4:55 p.m.
