August 12, 1986 <br /> <br />July 1, 1986; replacing Patricia Washington. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, to close nominations, and there being no <br />further nominations, the above members were elected to the designated Commission, and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 86-300 - Jesse H. Overton, Jr. 82 Ecrisson Street, representing St. Julien's Citizens <br />Committee, spoke concerning the proposed St. Julien's Creek Hazardous Waste Storage Facility. <br /> <br /> 86-301 - Molly H. Epperson, 107 Maryland Avenue, representing the Port Norfolk Civic <br />League, spoke concerning the proposed connector for the Western Freeway and the effect of the <br />project on the Port Norfolk area. <br /> <br /> 86-302 - Donald C. Kilgore, attorney, Central Fidelity Bank Bldg., Suite 302, representi~ <br />applicants for street closing of Elliott Avenue. He requested Council consideration to <br />recession of street closing ordinance for Elliott Avenue <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that %rem 86-265 be placed on the next <br />Council agenda for ~ ~engmen~gn~am~aR~,~y~una~m~nsvote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Lucas to suspend the rules to allow Mr. Kilgore to <br />speak for 2 minutes, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Mr. Kilgore made reference that the ordinance previously adopted would go into effect <br />before the next council meeting. <br /> <br /> 86-303 - Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to go into an executive session <br />to discuss the following, and was adopted by 4-3 vote: <br /> <br />(1) Use, Sale, or Acquisition of <br /> Public Property <br />(2) Consultation and Briefing on <br /> Legal Matters <br />(3) A Personnel Matter <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 12:15 <br />APPROVED - ~ <br /> <br /> Mayor ~J <br /> <br />aoml <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
