November 14, 2017 Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3712(D) certifying that, to the best of the Council Members’ knowledge: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Closed Meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the closed meeting just concluded by the City Council. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Cherry, Clark, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Psimas, Whitaker, Rowe Nays: None Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Ms. Lucas-Burke, to go into closed meeting pursuant to Virginia Code subsection 2.2-3711 A.3 for the purpose of discussing the acquisition of real property where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body, specifically regarding the northeast corner intersection of Washington Street and County Street. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Cherry, Clark, Lucas-Burke, Moody, Psimas, Whitaker, Rowe Nays: None Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3712(D) certifying that, to the best of the Council Members’ knowledge: 1. Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Ms. Lucas-Burke, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to Virginia Code subsection 2.2-3711 A.3 for the purpose of discussing the disposition of publicly held real property where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body, specifically regarding the Afton Green development, 4300 George Washington Highway & 0 George Washington Highway (Tax Parcels 0461-0080, 0090, 0100, and 0110). The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Cherry, Clark, Lucas-Burke, Psimas, Whitaker, Rowe Nays: None Abstain: Moody
