Davis has made application to vacate, close <br />~nd discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of Wilcox Avenue, <br />and it appearing that Notice of Application and Request for Appoint <br />merit of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, William <br />Choate, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan be appointed viewers <br />and that Matthew Peanort and George N. Powers, Sr., be appointed <br />alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails <br />to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described por- <br />tion of such street and to report to this Council in writing whethe~ <br />in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result ir <br />wacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />Avenue <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or ~arcel of land, described <br />as that portion of Wilcox Avenue bounded on the north by <br />the properties of Portsmouth Humane Society, Sidney Moore, <br />Sr., and Cora M. Moore, Map Parcels 147-36 through 39; <br />bounded on the east and south by property of Jean M. Davis, <br />Map Parcel 149-1; bounded on the west by property of Jean <br />M.
