Box 50141, spoke in opposition to allowing food <br /> trucks in residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />“ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 40.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) PERTAINING TO ZONING AND SPECIFICALLY <br />AUTHORIZING AND REGULATING FOOD TRUCKS, INCLUDING THROUGH THE <br />AMENDMENT OF TABLE 40.1-4.5(A), SECTION 40.1-4.5(C)(1), AND SECTION 40.1- <br />8.3, AND THROUGH THE ADOPTION OF A NEW SECTION 40.1-4.5(F)(8).” <br /> <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Whitaker, Wright <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- City Manager’s Report - <br /> <br />16 - 25 - Adoption of an ordinance to accept and appropriate $115,184.73 received <br />via the Circuit and General District Courts in the FY 2015-16 General Fund for use <br />by the sheriff’s office for exercise equipment and other items needed to support <br />the sheriff’s office training academy. <br />Vision Principle: Efficient, Responsive <br /> <br />Government. <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> The Portsmouth Sheriff's Office receives a fee from Circuit Court and General <br />District Court for use by the Sheriff's Office Training Academy, pursuant to State Code <br /> <br />Section 9.1-106. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br /> This funding allows the Sheriff's Office to purchase exercise equipment, replace <br />old training equipment and other needed items to support the Sheriff's Office Training <br /> <br />Academy. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br /> There is no negative financial impact incurred by the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br />Staff Recommends: <br /> <br /> Adoption of an ordinance to accept and appropriate and authorize expenditure of <br />$115,184.73 in Training Academy Fees.
