January 12, 2016 <br /> <br />(c) CA-15-03 UPTOWN - The City is proposing to amend the Appendix B, <br />Uptown D-2 District Form-Based Code, of the Zoning Ordinance to <br />align with applicable updated laws and guidelines, including <br />removing references to “where clearly visible from the street” <br />exempts design elements “more than forty feet from a required <br />building line or street space,” Type II site plans, and administrative <br />adjustments. Vision Principle: A Robust Economy for Working <br />Men and Women. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-15-03 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Whitaker, Wright <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(d) CA-15-04 CITY-WIDE - The City is proposing to amend the Zoning Ordinance <br />to allow food trucks to operate on private property. The <br />amendments will insert a new section, 40.1-4.5(F)(8) Food Trucks <br />on Private Property, into the Zoning Ordinance, and will amend <br />Table 40.1-4.5(A) Permitted Temporary Uses and Structures, and <br />sections 40.1-4.5(C)(1) Retail Sales or Display of Goods From <br />Vehicles, and 40.1-8.3 Definitions. Vision Principle: A Robust <br />Economy for Working Men and Women. <br /> <br />1. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, P. O. Box 50141, asked that City Council not allow food <br /> trucks on private property. <br /> <br />2. M. J. Medlar, 968 Culver Lane, Virginia Beach, spoke in support of this item. <br /> <br />3.
