February 24, 1987 At a called meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, February 24, 1987, there were present: James W. Holley, III, E. G. Corprew, Jr., J. Robert Gray, L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, Gloria O. Webb, George L. Hanbury, City Manager, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney. Absent: Jack P. Barnes 87'61 The!folloWing call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall~ 801 Crawf0rd Street. at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 1987 for the purpose of a ~blic Work session on an appeal from the Commission of Architectur~ In addition, you may con~ic~ a motion to go into an executiv~ session. By order of the Mayor." 87-62 - A public work session was held for the appeal from J. Pearce regardin~ decision of the Commission of Archi- tectural Review for Port Norfolk and Park View on February 2, 1987 ~oncerning 317 Maryland AVenue. William C. Pearce madeapresentation. Ernest Freeman, City Planner, made a presentation. Consultation With City Attorney and briefing by staff embers pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal ters within the jurisdiction of City Council as permitted under subsection (a) 2. Considerar~km of appointments by the City Council as per- itted un,er subsection (a)-(1); ng 3. The investing of public funds where competition or bargain- is involved, where if made public initially the financial inter- of the governmental unit would be adversely affected ~s permitte subsection (a) (5); 4.
