Robert Gray, <br />L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, Gloria O. Webb, <br />George L. Hanbury, City Manager, Steven Lieberman, City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />Absent: Jack P. Barnes <br /> <br />87'61 The!folloWing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held <br />in the Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall~ 801 Crawf0rd Street. <br />at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 1987 for the purpose of a <br /> ~blic Work session on an appeal from the Commission of Architectur~ <br /> <br /> In addition, you may con~ic~ a motion to go into an executiv~ <br />session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 87-62 - A public work session was held for the appeal from <br /> J. Pearce regardin~ decision of the Commission of Archi- <br />tectural Review for Port Norfolk and Park View on February 2, 1987 <br /> ~oncerning 317 Maryland AVenue. <br /> <br />William C. Pearce madeapresentation. <br /> <br />Ernest Freeman, City Planner, made a presentation. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, that the matter <br /> e deferred for two weeks (March 10, 1987), and was adopted by 5-~ <br />(Nay-Simpson) vote. <br /> ~:~.-:6~:~Mo:~k:~f M~'~G~S,y and secon~ by Mr~Sim~son, to go <br />into an executive session in accordance w'~ Section 2.~-544 of the <br />Code ~f~yirginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultation With City Attorney and briefing by staff <br /> embers pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal <br /> ters within the jurisdiction of City Council as permitted under <br />subsection (a) <br /> <br /> 2. Considerar~km of appointments by the City Council as per- <br />itted un,er subsection (a)-(1); <br /> <br />ng <br /> <br /> 3. The investing of public funds where competition or bargain- <br />is involved, where if made public initially the financial inter- <br />of the governmental unit would be adversely affected ~s permitte <br /> subsection (a) (5); <br /> <br />4. A personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 5. The condition, acquisition and use of <br />~ublic purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2). <br /> <br />On motion was adopted by unanimous <br />APPROVED - ~ <br /> <br />vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
