Hanbury, II, City Manager, <br />Steven Lieberman, City Attorney. <br /> <br />87-129 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend called meeting of the City Council to be held <br />in the City Council/City Manager Conference Room, 6th floor of City <br />tall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 1987 <br />For the purpose of a public work session on an appeal from the Com- <br />nission of Architectural Review-Port Norfolk/Park View, and present~ <br />tion on the New Business Success Program. <br /> <br />In addition you may consider a motion to go into an executive <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 87-99 A public work session was held on the appeal of Earl <br />Stephenson on house located at 77 Elm. Avenue, deferred from the <br />)ublic work session of March 24, 198-. <br /> <br /> Earl Stephenson and his contractor, Steve Swersky, made a <br />~resentation. <br /> <br />Ernest Freeman, City Planner,. made a presentation. <br /> <br />A disaussion was held on ths appeal. <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to concur in the <br />[ecision of the Commission of Architectural Review-Port Norfolk/Par~ <br />~iew, and was adopted by 6-1(Nay-Simpson)~ote. <br /> <br /> New Business Success Program Presentation by Thom Perry, was <br />postponed to April 28, 1987, <br /> <br /> 87-130 Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mrs. lYebb, to g <br />into an executive session in accordance 'with Section 2.1-344 of the <br />Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff membe~ <br />pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal matters <br />within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under sub- <br />section (a) (6); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of appointments by the City Council as per- <br />i.tted under subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 3. A personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 4. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for <br />)ublic purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 5.
