October 14, 2014 <br />Library Board <br />Jennifer Powell to be reappointed to a three year term ending November 30, 2017. <br />Preston Vaughan to be reappointed to a three year term ending November 30, 2017. <br />Museum & Fine Arts Commission <br />Donte Owens to be reappointed to a three year term ending October 31, 2017. <br />Anthony Riley to be reappointed to a three year term ending October 31, 2017. <br />Portsmouth Port & Industrial Commission <br />George Watkins to be appointed to a term ending December 31, 2017. C.) 5k Walk for Hope. <br />- Thanked churches for participating in National Pink Out Day. <br />- Coast Guard Missions Day. <br />- Ms. Psimas spoke in the following events: <br />- Halloween events include - <br />• Movies at Port Side and City Park. <br />• Haunted train rides at City Park and events at the Children's Museum. <br />• Great Pumpkin Challenge. <br />- Ribbon cutting of the new Kroger Market Place. <br />- Mr. Moody spoke in the following: <br />- Construction to be started on the Cavalier Manor tennis courts. <br />- Asked that the Ombudsman speak to Dominion Power to have all damaged <br />poles replaced rather than doubling up the poles. <br />- Asked that staff check into paving the street near the Kroger in Churchland. <br />- Asked that staff come back to City Council with recommendations on where to <br />place a dog park. <br />
