Vernon Baptist Church pursuant to <br /> ~0~71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, <br /> the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all <br />things required to be done in connection with said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting <br />of a use permit with conditions for the operation of a church and <br />~lace of worship. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />:smouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit he <br />is sought: <br /> <br />(a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety of <br />residing or working ~n the neighborhood of the proposes use <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injuriou <br />o the property and improvements in the neighborhood; and <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the Zoning <br />%hapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. The New Mt. Vernon Baptist Church is hereby granted a use <br />~ermit pusuant to §40-71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />~irginia, to operate a church and place of worship on property des- <br />ignated as 3547 Victory Boulevard which consists of approximately <br />2.59 acres of land and is described as Tax Map #532, Parcel#52 <br />'UP-87-8). <br /> <br /> 3.
