The Cradock Community Center has be~n recommended by <br />the Director of General Services for repair. The existing roof will <br />be completely removed and replaced with a modified Bituman roof. <br /> <br /> This project was competitively ~id and six firms were solicited <br />for prices. The only responsive bidder was Roof-Tech, Inc., with a <br />pri~e of $11,900. The Director of General Services has investi <br />Roof-Tech, Inc., regarding qualifications, work performance and <br />financial status and recommends award of this project to this firm. <br />the total project cost is $13,100, which includes 10% £or contingen- <br />cies. Funds for this project category have already been appropriat~ <br />and as such, only award of bid is required by City Council. <br /> <br /> Based upon the recommendation of the Director of General <br />Services, ~, therefore, recommend award of bid to Roof-Tech, Inc." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr.~Simpson, to award con- <br />tract ts Roof-Tech, Inc. for roo~ repairs to the Cradock Community <br />Center, as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-178 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />a motion to refund Real Estate Taxes (without interest) as follows: <br /> <br />a.) $496.78 to Stockton, Whatley, Davin Co. for overpayment. <br />b.) $252.01 to Lincoln Service Corporation for overpayment. <br />c.) $ 14,60 to Bruce Neil Newman for overpayment. <br />d.) $760.33 to Jones & Quayle for duplicate payment. <br />e.~' $136.63 to Livesay & Lefcoe for duplicate payment. <br />f.) $185.31 to Pretlow, Eason & Pretlow for duplicate <br /> payment. <br />g.) $167.14 to Johnson Mortgage Company for duplicate <br /> payment. <br />h.) $139.20 to Eric O. Moody for duplicate payment. <br />i.) $i05~19 to Margie Bolling for duplicate payment. <br /> <br /> "The City ~reasurer is requesting refunds (without interest) <br />for Real Estate Taxes (See list above). <br /> <br /> I recommend that this motion be adopted and these refunds <br />ranted." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, that the refunds <br />~e granted, as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />without interest) <br /> <br /> <br />
