5 8 ~1 <br />December 17. 2013 <br />• City Attorney George Willson responded that under Section I of the City Council's <br />Rules of Order and Procedure, this meeting tonight qualifies as a Special Meeting <br />for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the advisability of legalizing casino <br />gaming. One of the provisions under Section 1 states: <br />"Notice of each special meeting shall contain a statement of the specific item or items of <br />business to be transacted and no other business shall be transacted at such meeting <br />except by the unanimous consent of all the members of the Council." <br />21. Glenna Cornett, 201 Thelmar Lane, voiced her concerns with questions that have <br />not been answers with regards to how long it would take to even build and see <br />revenue from the casinos. <br />22. Johnny Owens, P. O. Box 7132, spoke in opposition to this item. <br />23. Kintrell Devin, 515 Water Lilly Road, spoke in support of this item. <br />24. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, P. O. Box 50141, spoke in opposition to this item. <br />25. Bruce LaLonde, 168 Yorkshire Road, voiced his support with the job opportunities <br />that the casinos may offer to the youth. <br />26. Joe Wright, 1451 Welcome Road, spoke in support of this item. <br />27.
