30'7 May 6, 1987 At a called meeting of the Cit~ Council Held on Wednesday, May i, 1982; there were present: Jack P. Barnes, J. Robert Gray,,L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, Gloria O. Webb, George L. Hanbury, II, City Manager, S~cvCn:_Lieberman, City Attorney. Absent: E. G. Corprew, Jr., James W. Holley, III ¥ieeMayor Webb presided in the absence of the Mayor. 87-204 -The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford S~reet, at 5:00 p.m. on WednesR~y,~ay 6, 1987, for the purpose of cons~deriz motion to go Into an executive session. By order of the Mayor." On motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by b4r. Gray, ~n Executive Session in accordance with Secti3n 2.1-344 of Virginia to discuss the following: to go xnto of the Code 1. The consideration, acquismtion and use of real propef.~z for )ublic purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); ' - · 2, Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted unde~ ;ubsection [a) (1~; 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff nembers pertaining ~o actual or potential litigation or other legal hatters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6); 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted under subsection (a) (2); S. Consideration of appointments by the City Council as ~ermitted under subsection (a) (1). On motion was adopted by 5-0 vote. 87-2~4(a) - Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson, zo go into a public work session for a presentation on the CitY's Code Enforcement~ and was adopted by unanimous vote. - Mar~lee Hawkins, Director of the Department of Housing Service ~nd Community Development, made the presentation.
