497 <br />August 27, 2013 <br />13 - 361 -Report on Pending Items <br />• Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the August 13, 2013 City Council Meeting. <br />• Dennis Bagley, Director of General Service, provided an update on the Recycling <br />Program. <br />13 - 362 -Non-Agenda Speakers <br />1. Linda Ridenour, 313 Tarreyton Lane, spoke on the many achievements in the school <br />system. <br />2. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, P. O. Box 50141, asked that Councilman Meeks be <br />replaced as School Board liaison. <br />3. Steve Carroll, 3112 River Edge Drive, voiced his- concern with the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation (VDOT) lack of cooperation in disseminating <br />information with regards to the tolls process. <br />4. Ursula Murphy, 2001 Elmhurst Lane, informed City Council and citizens of 2 Police <br />officers that were recognized at the Regional Law Enforcement Award Ceremony. <br />5. Elvira Johnson, 3313 Armistead Drive, voiced her concern with statements that were <br />made by Council members at the City Council meeting on August 13, 2013. <br />- Mr. Moody asked that the Manager come back with a plan to implement parts of the <br />Parks and Recreation Master Plan for Council's consideration. <br />6. Regenia Black, 512 Yorktown Avenue, voiced her concern with the methadone clinic <br />being in close proximity to the high school and children at the bus stop in the <br />neighborhood. <br />7. Frances Jones, 600 Yorktown Avenue, voiced her opposition to the methadone clinic <br />being proposed in her neighborhood. <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 8:31 p.m. <br />Minutes prepared by: <br />Anita .
