July !3, 1987 At a special called meeting of the City Council held on Monday, 13, 1987, at 10:00 a.m., there,.Were present: Jack P. Barnes, E. L. Louise Lucas, J. George L. Hanbury, City Attorney. G. Corprew, Jr,, J. Robert Gray, Herbert Simpsoa, Gloria O. Webb, II, City Manager, Steven Lieberman, Absent: Mayor James W. Holley, III Vice Mayor Webb presided in the absenceof ~he Mayor. 87-293 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council/City Manager Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 13, 1987 to consider a motion to go into an executive session the purpose of discussing a Personnel Matter and consultation the City Attorney pertaining to Legal Matters within the juris- of the City Council as permitted by the Freedom of Informa- ation Act. By order of Vice Mayor Gloria O, Webb, Councilmembers Jack P. Barnes, E. G. Corprew, Jr., J. Robert Gray, L. Louise Lucas, and Herbert Simpson." ;~ ~O 87-393(a) - Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray, into an executive'session pursuant to the provisions of Sec. Code~of~Fir~inia~to~i~u~s~ , to (1) A Personnel Matter as provided in subsection (a) (1); (2) Consultation with City Attorney and staff briefing pertair lng to Legal Matters within the jurisdiction of City Council as pro- zided in subsection (a) (6). On motion was adopted by 6-0 vote. The City Council reconvened at 11:15 a.m. 82-£93(b) zhe meeting recessed to )y 6-0 vote.
