<br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, there were
<br />present:
<br />Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., William E. Moody, Jr.,
<br />Marlene W. Randall, Paige D. Cherry, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., City Manager
<br />Kenneth L. Chandler, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman.
<br />Reverend Gregory Yancey, Sr., opened the meeting with prayer, which was
<br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />Mayor Wright called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance.
<br />Motion by Mr. Moody„ and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to approve the minutes
<br />of a Called Meeting of April 5, 2012, of a Called Meeting of April 10, 2012, and of a
<br />Regular Meeting of April 10, 2012, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Moody, Randall, Whitehurst, Wright
<br />Nays: None
<br />• Special presentation to Sgt. Lodge, Sergeant at Arms.
<br />Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Edmonds, to change the order of
<br />business of the agenda to consider Item 12-166, Boards and Commissions, immediately
<br />prior to Public Hearing Item 12-164, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Moody, Randall, Whitehurst, Wright
<br />Nays: None

<br />Mr. Moody offered the following nominations:
<br />Americans w/Disabilities Commission
<br />Nancy Gresham to be appointed to fill a term ending December 31, 2013, replacing
<br />Deborah Stitzer-Brame.
<br />Charles Kelly to be appointed to fill a term ending December 31, 2013, replacing
<br />Richard Polston.
<br />Behavioral Healthcare Services Advisory Board
<br />Leroy Daniels, Jr. to be appointed to fill a three year term ending June 30, 2015,
<br />replacing James Eaton.
<br />Lopez Scott to be appointed to fill a three year term ending June 30, 2015, replacing
<br />Amanda Burbage.
<br />Historic Preservation Commission
<br />James Hemingway to be appointed to fill a term ending October 31, 2014, replacing
<br />Tara Turner.
<br />Planning Commission
<br />Kenneth Pugh to be appointed to fill a four year term ending December 31, 2015,
<br />replacing Leander Knox, Sr.
<br />Alice Taylor-Smith to be appointed to fill a term ending December 31, 2013, replacing
<br />Aaron Ashanti.
