421 August 11, 198- "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $415,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE PORTION OF THE WESTERN FREEWAY PROJECT DESIGNATED AS THE TOWNE POINT ROAD PROJECT." (See letter under Item Number 87-299 a) On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote: Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb, Nays: None 87-325 The follow~ng ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of July 28, 1987, was taken up and read: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE, $86,400 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR MONITORING AND SPECIFICATION WRITING UNDER PHASE I AND II OF THE CIVIC ENTER COMPLEX ASBESTOS REMOVAL PROGRA~,i." Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that citizen be granted 2 additional minutes, and was adopted by unanimous Richard Harsley, 2124 Peach Street, representing Central Forum. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that citizen be granted 5 additional minutes, and was adopted by unanimous vote. Marianne Wade, 611 DeKalb~Avenue Minister Rafiq Zaidi, 944-B Lincoln Street, representing ~atio of Islam Local Committee Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to have the City Attorney immediately look into the lease to see if there ~ere violations which warranted the cancellation of the lease, and - alternatively, to commense negotiation to buy-out the lease; the City Manager and City Attorney to study the property to determine whether it should be continued as a public golf course or used for development; and a report' be furnished to Council, and was adopted by unanmmous Fore.
