Simpson and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that authorization be granted to transfer $5,000 from the Grants Contingency Account, and acceptance of a grant from the Emergency Shelter Grant Program, was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Williams, Webb Nays: None of a 88-155 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption motion to refund taxes (without interest) as follows: Personal Property Taxes: $229.59 to Stephen A. Linton $ 65.98 to Doris Jean Morring S 22.14 to Milton R. Dixon, Jr. $ 6.98 to Ruth~T~a~ $ 8.00 to~ Th~masrL.©Webb $ 38.40 to Jocelyn Yevette Copeland Real Estate Taxes: f.) $353.03 to Norfolk & Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad g.) 18.61 to Secretary of Housing & Urban Dev. h.) 160.90 to Sondej & Whitlow "The City Treasurer is requesting the following refunds (without interest) for Personal Property Taxes: As listed above. The Delinquent Tax Office is requesting the followzng refund (without interest) for Personal Property Tax: As listed above. I recommend that Council adopt this motion and the ~efunds be granted."
