91 May 16, 1988 16, At a called meeting of the city Council held on Monday, May 1988, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Jack P. Barnes, L. Louise Lucas, J. 5erbert Simpson, George L. Hanbury, II, City Managerf Steven Lieberman, City Attorney. Absent: E. G. Corprew, Jr.,land LaMar Williams 88-201- The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday 16, 1988, for the purpose of a Public Work~ SesSion on the 1988-89 Operating Budget. In addition you may consider a motion to go into an executive session.. By order of the Mayor." The Operating Budget of 1988-89 was discussed. Motion of Mr. Gray and Mr. Barnes, to go into an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1); 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6); 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 5. Consideration of appointments by the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (1). On motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion meeting adjourned.
