REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - 88-205 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $542,547 for the construction of drainage and street improvements in the Douglas Park and Choate Street area and aWard of contract to responsible low bidder, "The 1987-92 capital Improvement Program includes funds for the construction of drainage and street improvements in the Douglas park and Choate Street area. Phase I, on Choate Street, has recently been completed. The second phase will provide adequate drainage, an improved Street system with sidewalks and an upgraded sanitary sewer system. Bids were received for Phase ii on May 11, 1988, The bids were very competitive and favorable with today's construction estimates (see attachment). The total anticipated project cost (including cOntingencies, administration and inspeCtion) is $542,547.00. The total antiCipated cost was calculated as follows: Construction Contract(Utility Builders, Inc.)
