REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - <br /> <br /> 88-205 - Letter from the City Manager recommending <br />adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $542,547 for the <br />construction of drainage and street improvements in the Douglas <br />Park and Choate Street area and aWard of contract to <br />responsible low bidder, <br /> <br /> "The 1987-92 capital Improvement Program includes funds <br />for the construction of drainage and street improvements in the <br />Douglas park and Choate Street area. Phase I, on Choate <br />Street, has recently been completed. The second phase will <br />provide adequate drainage, an improved Street system with <br />sidewalks and an upgraded sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br /> Bids were received for Phase ii on May 11, 1988, The bids <br />were very competitive and favorable with today's construction <br />estimates (see attachment). The total anticipated project cost <br />(including cOntingencies, administration and inspeCtion) is <br />$542,547.00.
