<br />422 <br /> <br />January 25. 2011 <br /> <br />11 - 45 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />~ Mr. Moody asked staff to look into information given to him by a citizen of Cradock <br />concerning the possible location of a company on the same Chesapeake property <br />that was proposed for the ethanol plant. <br /> <br />~ Mayor Wright gave an update on several meetings and events that he attended <br />during the week. <br /> <br />11 - 46 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the January 11, 2011 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />11 - 47 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Linda Ridenour, 313 Terryton Lane, informed citizens and City Council of Project <br />Uplift and First College which are serving to the needs of students in the high <br />schools. <br /> <br />2. J. Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, gave a historical update of the Patriots <br />Crossing. <br /> <br />3. Robert Brown, 5105 Greenbrook Drive, wanted to thank City Council for considering <br />funding the Portsmouth Supplemental Retirement System (PSRS) with funds from <br />the undesignated surplus. <br /> <br />4. Pat Simons, 801 Mimosa Road, brought to City Council's attention statements that <br />were made during the Public Work Session with regards to the real estate tax rate. <br /> <br />5.
