I83 Ag~ust 9, 1988 Motion of M_. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson the following resolution was adopted, and by the following vote: "A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING PORTIONS OF TROTTER STREET, HYMAN STREET, AND DUNCAN STREET. WHEREAS, PRHA has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of Trotter Street, Hyman Street, and Duncan Street, and it appearing that Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of~Viewers has.been advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the~Coumcil of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Melville A. Bunting, Lee Batts, Casey~ Lavender, and Harry Hopewell~be appointed viewers and that William Choate and James H. Griffin, be appointed alternate viewers in-the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate., said~ viewers to view the hereinafte~described poct'~on.of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether in.-their opinion any, and if. any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: Trotter Street ~ll. that certain piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of Portsm~u~th, Virginia, known, designated and described as that portion of~ Trotter Street bounded on the northwest by the extension across Trotter Street of the northwestern line of the property conveyed to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority by deed fr~ ~ie Blanchard Pierce~ etc., et. u~, dated N~vember 3, 1982 and recorded in Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia in Deed~Book 839 at page 620 and bound~ on the southeas~ bF its~sout~e~sCern termination. Hyman Street All. that certain piece, or parcel of~and situate, lying an~ being in the City of Por%smouth~ Virginia, known, designated and described as that portion of Hyman Street bou~ded:-~n' the north~y ~the~exten~i.on across~ '.Hyman Street of the-northeastern line of property conveyed to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority by deed from Cal Kee dated February'll, 1987 and recordsd in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia in Deed Book 981 at page 967 and bounded on the south by it'S southern termination, a cul de sac. Duncan Street All that certain piece or parcel of. land situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, de:signated a~d described as that portion of Duncan Street bounded on the west by the eastern side of Trotter Street and on the east by the ~estern side of ~Hyma~ Street."
