<br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, there
<br />were present:
<br />
<br />Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, William E. Moody, Jr., Marlene W. Randall, Stephen E.
<br />Heretick, Paige D. Cherry, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., City Manager Kenneth L.
<br />Chandler, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman, Senior Deputy City Attorney George M.
<br />Willson.
<br />
<br />Pastor Robert Lee, opened the meeting with prayer, which was followed by the
<br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />
<br />Mayor Wright called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance.
<br />
<br />Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to approve the minutes of
<br />a Called Meeting of November 22, 2010, of a Called Meeting of November 23, 2010,
<br />and of a Regular Meeting of November 23, 2010, and was adopted by the following
<br />vote:

<br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Heretick, Moody, Randall, Wright
<br />Nays: None
<br />
<br />10 - 557 - Presentation:

<br />. Presentation of Service Awards by Mayor Wright.
<br />
<br />. Presentation of special lapel pins to newly appointed board and commission
<br />members.

<br />10 - 558 - Public hearing on a street closure application:
<br />

<br />
<br />WESTBURY - Ordinance granting the request of Jeffrey S. Miller, attorney,
<br />for the closure of Rutter Street beginning at the eastern line of Godwin
<br />Street and running eastwardly 150 feet, more or less, to its terminus.
<br />Vision Principle: Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community.
<br />
<br />There were no speakers.
<br />
<br />Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to adopt the following
<br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br />"ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF RUTTER STREET BEGINNING AT THE
<br />EASTERN LINE OF GODWIN STREET AND RUNNING EASTERLY 150 FEET, MORE
<br />OR LESS, TO ITS TERMINUS."

<br />"ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 40.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
