Next Steps Following Council Action: . The continuation of our Victim Witness Program focusing on serving victims of crime in our City. Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to adopt the following ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: "ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $317,522 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2010-2011 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE COMMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR THE VICTIM WITNESS PROGRAM." Ayes: Cherry, Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Whitehurst, Griffin Nays: None - New Business - 10 - 379 - Boards and Commissions Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to close nominations, and the following nominations were adopted by the following vote: PlanninQ Commission Aaron Ashanti to be appointed to fill a term ending December 31, 2013, replacing Calsine Pitt. Portsmouth Redevelopment & HousinQ Authoritv Flossie Bridgeford to be appointed to fill a four year term ending August 31, 2014, replacing William Kline. Finance Committee Bernard Rotich to be appointed, replacing Paige Cherry as a citizen representative.
