406 A Public Hearing of the City Council held on Monday, April 10, 1989, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Jack P. Barnes, E. G. Corprew, Jr., James C. Hawks, L. Louise Lucas, J. ( a ) Z-~-9-'5 HODGES MANOR N~IGHBORHOOD - William R. Gardner, Fr~f~eht of Sturtevant Funeral M~, to rezone property at 1004 ~ell ~enue and 1005 Martin Mr. William R...Gard~er, President of Sturtevant Funeral Home, spoke in support of the rezoninG application. Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by M~. Hawks, to concur with the recommendation ~f the Planning Commission that Z-89-5 be approved on first r~a~ing, and was adopted by unanimous vote. (b) UP-89-3 ~LDE T~ ~EfGHBORHOOD - Basil F. G~, II~. and Phillip M. Gray for ~o~S~. of'a single family residence ~o a ~I~x. atil06 London B~ulavard. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and see~nde~by Mr. Barnes, to concur with the recommendation of ~he Planning Commission that UP-89-3 be approved on first readi~9~, and was adopted by u~nanimous vote. (c) CP-89-1 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - A proposed update of the City's long-range plan for physical development. Cameron C. Pitts, 4816 Hunter's Point Civic League, comprehensive plan. Mallard Crescent, representinG spoke in support of the Gene Baldwin, 404 Tareyton Lane, representing Park Manor Civic League, spoke~in support of the comprehensive plan. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded-by Mr. Gray, to defer the comprehensive plan to a future public work session and was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, to go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the following. Code of Virginia to discuss the ' · 1.
