May 23, 1989 469 23, At a called meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, 1989, there were present: Ma~or. Gloria O. Webb, *Vice Mayor J. ~Robert~Gray, Jack P. Barnes, **E. G. Corprew, Jro, James C. Hawks, L. Louise Lucas, George L~-Hanbury,3I!, City ~anager, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney. May .89-212 - The following call for the_meeting~was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held. in the City C6uncil Chambers,.6th.floor of~City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 1989, for the purpose of aPubtic Work'Session. In addition you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 89-213 - Motion 'of Mr. Gray and seconded by-Mr. Hawks, to go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. Consideration, acquisition and use of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 2. C~nsideration~of a~personnel matter~ as~permitted under subsection (a) (1); 3.. Consultation with-City Attorney and briefing by staff members Dertaining to actual or potential litigation, or other leoal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6); 4 The disposition of publicly heldproper.ty as permitted under subsection (a) (2)? 5. Consideration of appointments by the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (1). On motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On mot.ion meeting adjourned.
