<br />89-258 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of
<br />the following:

<br /> "Tbe City Attorney's Office has been conducting their annual
<br />review of aCtiOns taken by the-General Assembly to determine
<br />whether or not'~amendments to the City Code are required.
<br />
<br /> The City Attorney's Office has recommended the attached
<br />amendments to the CitY Code in order to 'assure our City's
<br />conformity to the State's enabling legislation.
<br />
<br /> (a) An ordinance to amend Chapter 4 of the Code of the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988), as amended, by amending Section
<br />4-32 thereof pertaining to impoundment of stray dogs. (Electronic

<br />
<br /> ' (b) An ordinance to amend Chapter 24 of ~he Code of the Cit,
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, as amended, by amending Sections
<br />24-42, 24-74, 24-198, 24-276, 24-289, 24-317, and 24-363 and by
<br />repealing Section 24-319 thereof pertaining tO miscellaneous

<br /> (c) ~ An~ordinance to amend Chapter 22 of the Code of the Cit
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, as amended by amending Sections

<br />22-300, 22-327, 22-348(b) and 22-423 thereof, and by adding
<br />Section~ 22-688 thereto,:pertaining to motor vehicles. (Electroni~

<br /> (a) On motion of Mr. Barnes and~ seconded by Mr. Hawks, the
<br />following ordinance was adopted on first and final reading, and
<br />the following vote:

<br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
<br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988), AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 4-32
