498 <br /> JUne 27~ 1989 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met the requirements of [40-55 <br />the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; and <br /> <br />of <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the ~lanning Commission has reviewed such <br />application and site plans submitted therewith and has <br />recommended conditional approval Of sa-id application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval of <br />the group housing project pursuant to [40-55 grants only an <br />exemption from certain requirements for residences as stated in <br />said sec~ion~and does not constitute a waiver of any other <br />requirement ~mbodied ink'the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoningr <br />Ordinance, Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any <br />other applicable local, state or federal law or regulation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREKS, the developer is-aware that building permits or <br />any other required permit will be issued only upon compliance <br />with the ordinances, laws or regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group housing project <br />consisting of sixteen (16) apartment units at 2012-2020 <br />Greenwood Drive (Tax Map 468, Parcels 5 and 6) which contains <br />approximately 0.97 acres and designated as GHP-89-3, as shown on <br />plans filed with the appropriate officials of the City of <br />Portsmouth, such plans being made a part hereof is hereby <br />granted approval subject to the following terms and condi%ions: <br /> <br /> (1) <br />accordance <br />filed with <br />Virginia. <br /> <br />The group housing project shall be constructed in <br />with the site plan designated as Exhibit 1/GHP-89-3 <br />the appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br /> (2) A revised site plan, landscaping plan and elevations: <br />~eflecting all chan~es and conditions imposed through the group <br />housing project application process must be submitted to the <br />Planning Department for review and approval prior ~o issuance of <br />building permits." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Simpson, Webb <br />Nays: Hawks <br /> <br />89-241 On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Hawks, <br />the following ordinance, approved on first reading at the <br />regular meeting of June 13, was taken up and read: <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $732,000. FRO~ THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTIES FROM THE <br />PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL FOUNDATION AND THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR A NEW CHURCHLAND HIGH SCHOOL AND <br />RECREATION FACILITY." <br /> <br /> The ordinance~was adopted on final reading, and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Gray, Hawks, Webb <br />Nays: Corprew, Simpson <br /> <br />89-135 <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan: <br /> <br /> (c) Resolution approving and adopting the Comprehensive <br />Plan for the City of Portsmouth Designated CP-89-1, deferred <br />from the Public Hearing of April 10, 1989. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />was approved on first reading, and by <br /> <br /> <br />
