514 July 11, 1989 At a called meeting of the City Council held on Tu~y~L~', July 11, 1989, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor J. Robert Gray, Jack P. Barnes, E. G. Corprew, Jr.,* James C. Hawks, L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney 89-281 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 1989, for the purpose of consider:lng a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to go into an Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. Consideration of a personnel matter involving City Council appointees as permitted under subsection (A) (1); 2. Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by the City Council as permitted under subsection (A) (1). Motion adopted by unanimous vote. The meeting re-convened at 6:25 p.m. On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Simpson, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and e Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive meeting was convened,~were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
